June 2020 - Coming out of Covid-19

As South Australia and the Fleurieu Peninsula opens up its doors to visitors we too are opening up Hamilton House to customers once again. We look forward to welcoming guests to our Bed & Breakfast in the near future.

March 2020 - Covid-19 has arrived and as with many other accommodation businesses, we have decided that for the protection of ourselves, our family and our customers to close our B&B until further notice. We will spend our isolation being busy enjoying our garden. We thank all our wonderful customers for their support at this time. We will review this decision when we have further information from the state of SA and restrictions are lifted.

January 2017 - Our renovations are finally complete and life is slowly turning back to what can be considered a normality. After over 6 months of upheaval and living out of boxes piled to the ceilings in some rooms and with kitchen facilities being a camping sink and gas bbq outside under the rear pergola we feel like we are now living in the lap of luxury and on holiday in our own home.

We are now taking bookings for 2017 with our first customers booked in from early February.

 

November 2016 - Progress on our renovation is continuing - another month has passed and the light at the end of the tunnel is brighter and more visible.

Gyprocking is complete and the second fix is now seriously underway thanks to our builder, our electricians and our painter continuing to work at getting it all finished. The kitchen, pantry/laundry cupboards and bedroom wardrobe have been installed.

Chris and I have been working too - painting our new bedroom, paving an area off the existing pergola and covering the old septic with railway sleepers. There's lots more jobs to keep us busy for months, but hopefully we will be enjoying the new renovated section of our home sometime in December. Then we can begin reorganising the front of our lovely old heritage home ready for guests early in the new year. We will be offering two rooms each with en-suites and a shared lounge/dining room.

June 2016 - Hamilton House is closed for renovations until the end of the year. We have demolished the rear of our home and are building a new kitchen, pantry/laundry and living room and  re-arranging the bedrooms we offer in our  B&B. Watch out for some exciting changes in the coming months.
